There are other features of Quandary that can help your
fine-tune your maze:Assets
Assets are objects that learners can carry along with them as they move
through a maze. For example, the desert island maze gives people flares, a
pistol, and a limited number of bullets. In some decision points, they have
the option of using these assets, and the numbers are reduced accordingly.
Alternatively, it is possible to design a maze such that making certain
decisions increases one's assets. The student could earn points, "money," or
goods as they make good decisions.
Filters
It is possible to adjust the decisions that one is allowed to make at
each decision point by using filters. For example, suppose that you were
creating a maze dealing with a technological topic. If the learner indicated
that he/she did not have a home computer, then you could remove any
decisions which depended on computer access at home. |
