Downloading The Palace
To download The Palace client or "user" software (you won't need a
server for this course; we'll take care of that), choose the correct
version for you:
Windows
Version
Macintosh
Version
You will need to choose the right client software for your machine
(Win95, Mac, etc.). For Win95/98, the download package is about 2 MB,
so it might take a little while at home over a modem.
Be sure that you download the software and save it on your hard
drive.
Installing The Palace
When you have successfully downloading the client software, you
must install it on your computer. The Win95/98 version comes as a
standard "setup" file. Just double click it and follow the directions.
When in doubt, just accept what it says. I've never installed the Mac
version, but I would follow the same procedure.
When you have finished installing The Palace, you are ready to go.
Registration Codes
To get the most out of The Palace, you need a registration code.
Unfortunately, the company that owned The Palace software has gone
bankrupt, and we cannot currently get registration codes. Many people are
hoping that situation will change. Contact me about a code, if you need to
become a wizard or have other special needs.
