So There was No Orientation Class...
Well, anyway, here is some of what we would have done:
- Reviewed this Web site and what is on it.
- Reviewed the requirements for a grade in this course. See the
course
syllabus for more information.
- An Instructional Design
project that will take all semester and that is worth 150
points.
- Weekly contributions to the
discussion board
worth a maximum of 50 points. Examine the
criteria for
these discussions.
- A final exam/project to be specified in detail later worth
30 points.
- Reviewed the software needed
to take this course:
- Web browser to access this Web site as well as
the discussion board.
- email (Be sure you learn how to attach
files. Each program is a little different, so check the documents
or help system for yours.)
- AOL Instant Messenger
- The Palace
- Word Processor
- Diagramming program
- Looked at the course schedule.
We will be meeting online about every week.
- Discussed the nature of the project and reviewed the
guidelines for
selecting one. You should see the list and discussion in Moodle.
- Described how the audio feedback will work.
- Visited Moodle to
see what is going to be done there.
- Demonstrated The Palace.
My goal for the first class is to orient you to
taking this course. However, everything that I covered there is
also covered on this website, so make sure that you review all course
requirements, etc. here. |
