CAPTURING AND PRINTING ANNOTATIONS

LEARN

TERMS YOU MAY NEED TO KNOW:

Board-aware applications: programs that recognize SMART Board annotations as integral parts of the program. Some examples are CorelDRAW, Microsoft Paint and Microsoft PowerPoint (in Slide Show mode).

Non-Board-aware applications: programs that do not recognize SMART Board annotations as elements of the program. Examples include Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel  or the Internet.

Before You Start:
This module assumes that your computer is running, that the Smart Board is connected and that you have already oriented the Smart board (modules 1 and 2).  The Smart Board becomes touch sensitive as soon as you start your computer.  Any time you touch the Smart Board, your finger acts as a left-click.  Press on the Smart Board surface to open applications, select objects and perform any operation that requires a left click.

  • For tasks that require a double-click, press the Smart board twice in rapid succession.

  • For tasks that require a right-click, press the Right Mouse button the pen tray.  Your next press
will be recognized as a right-click.

  • You can also press and hold the area of the screen you would like the Smart board to recognize
     as a right-click.
