Notebook Software Basics


Goal

The goal of this training is to learn the basics on how to use a  SMART Board (interactive whiteboard) and how to use the Notebook software.

Type of Learning

The kind of learning that will occur includes both intellectual and psychomotor skills.  Steps 1, 2 and 4 involves both intellectual  and psychomotor skills.  Steps 3 and 5 involves psychomotor skills.

Set up the Equipment

 

1.1  Equipment Checklist

1.1a  Check that you have the vital components:
          --Computer with Windows operating system
          --Multimedia projector
          --The SMART Board
          --Tray pens
          --Tray eraser

Entry Level Skills:
--Be able to identify each item in the checklist

1.2  Activate and Ready the Equipment

1.2a  Turn on multimedia projector
1.2b  Boot up computer
1.2c  Move SMART Board  and projector into place
1.2d  Turn on multimedia projector's lamp
1.2e  Focus the computer's projected image
1.2f   Place Eraser and Pens in pen tray

Entry Level Skills:
-- Know how to turn on equipment (projector and computer)
--Know how to adjust projected images
