Hospital Computerized Patient Management System

A hospital is installing a new computerized patient management system. Although they have had such a system for years, this is a major update for them. The system offers many potential benefits for doctors, nurses, and other staff members, not to mention more reliable patient care. However, there is some resistance to the change as well as a great deal of anxiety about having to learn the new system. Even though current hospital personnel know the existing system quite well, including the concepts behind it, they are not sure they are ready for the switch. Since this is a major upgrade, the new system does not look or act much like the old one. However, many of the underlying concepts remain the same, with some new ones added.
