Represent your Instructional Analysis

How do you present the results of your analysis? There are many possibilities, and your choice depends on what kind of task you are analyzing. The important thing is to communicate the results, even if only to yourself. that means that you should choose a representation that clearly lays out the task, its steps, and all the subordinate skills and concepts.

Many skills, including cognitive skills, can be represented using a flow diagram of some sort. Others are best communicated with outlines, decision tables, hierarchies, or some combination of these. You should choose the representation(s) that best suit what you are going to teach.
