Welcome to Designing Web Sites: An Overview
The World Wide Web is used widely for
presenting information as text, graphics, and other media. The variety and
power of the tools available for creating websites has grown tremendously.
Many people who wish to develop websites need to learn how to use
those tools, but they also need to learn basic design principles and skills.
This workshop provides skills in organizing and writing information for the
Web, structuring a site, enhancing site usability, and evaluating one’s
efforts. It is independent of the software and other technologies
used to build the site.
